I used this as a review for my MS Algebra students. They enjoyed playing the game to practice factoring and solving quadratics.
Kids loved it and some had not even ever played or heard of battleship
I LOVE these activities! I use them all the time for early finishers, classwork, my remediation groups, sub plans...The kids love them, they're all different, and they have a blast! P.S. Until I was leaving reviews I didn't realize how many of these I own!!
We changed this a bit and the students tried to sink MY battleships and I tried to sink the battleships of the class. They were all working problems together and I overly dramatized every sink and "no hit" that I received. I did not actually let them win, but when I sank my own battleship I owned up to it and they won.
Loved this resource! Students enjoyed and it was effective in meeting my needs.
